The district Bilaspur is situated in Satluj valley in the outer hills and covers area of 1,167 sq. Kms. Boundaries of bilaspur touch Una, Hamirpur, Mandi and Solan districts. Center approves Rs 2356 cr. 4  lane Highway  project from Kiratpur to Ner Chowk


Total road length of the four lane project is 84.380 kms covering the district of Rupnagar in Punjab and the district of Bilaspur and Manali in Himachal Pradesh.

The main purpose of the project is to  improve the infrastructure in Himachal Pradesh and also to reduce the time and cost of travel for traffic, particularly heavy traffic, plying between Kiratpur and Ner Chowk.
